New Mayan Eagle Slot
Microgaming have finally found an answer to the popular Megaways slots that have been dominating the market. The new system is called Nobleways and can be experienced in the recently released Mayan Eagle. The game, which released on 7th July 2020, came courtesy of All41 Studios, who recently partnered with Microgaming to tackle the slots market as a team.

Mayan Eagle’s visual theme features the same rainforests and ancient temples that have been seen before, but they’ve certainly been beautifully rendered and given a modern look and feel this time around. What the game does offer, however, is some supremely tantalising special features, mashing together a number of popular systems into a glorious potpourri.

Spin And Roll To Payouts

Why have a slot that just spins, when it can also roll at the same time? Mayan Eagle uses traditional spinning reels for the base game, working as would be expected. But when a match is created, Rolling Reels are automatically triggered for a second shot at a win. The matched symbols will explode, and new symbols will fall in and occupy the space. It is an interesting mix of the two systems, and certainly an intriguing idea.

As already mentioned, Nobleways are in play. This amounts to 15,625 Ways to win, which isn’t as many as Megaways, but it seems as if Microgaming are perhaps climbing the ladder incrementally. Either way, it is a welcome sight, especially in a slot that is rated as very high volatility.

Speaking of which, the basics of the game are 6 reels, 5 rows, and an RTP of 96.32%. The possible bets range between 0.20 and 20 per spin, while the biggest possible payout is 13,000x the original wager.

Rolling Bonuses

The first special feature in Mayan Eagle is the Mystery Symbol. Appearing randomly during the base game, a Mystery Symbol may land on the reels. When it does, it will automatically transform 8 symbols into the same paying symbol, massively increasing the chances of matches being created.

Last we have Scatters, which are where the biggest payouts in Mayan Eagle can be found. Though in this case, although paying out well, they are a little more difficult to trigger than usual. The word MAYAN must be spelled on the reels, which will grant a total of 12 Free Spins. However, a plus 1x multiplier will be added after each Rolling Reel, accumulating until the last spin.

Microgaming’s new slot can be enjoyed on desktop and mobile, and it offers innovative reel spinning action galore.
